Beth Bristow is an Educational Consultant and Test Preparation Specialist with over 25 years of experience.

In 2005, Beth founded Beth Bristow Tutorial Services and has guided thousands of students throughout the college planning process. She has an intimate knowledge of the curriculum and offerings of Atlanta-area schools, with particular expertise in consulting with Westminster, Holy Innocents’, Lovett, Pace, Paideia, Whitefield, Woodward, North Atlanta, and Riverwood families. Her network of clients, however, expands both nationally and internationally.

Beth’s true passion lies in helping students throughout the college planning journey. Whether she is expertly curating a college list that will allow a student to be the very best version of himself or herself or making key suggestions to maximize chances of admission from curriculum strategy to uniquely-angled activity recommendations, Beth ensures each of her students is positioned in the most strategic way. Beth provides this guidance while striving to mitigate stress for her students and their parents.

Beth’s noteworthy experience also helps families navigate some of the more subtle, yet vital parts of college admission, including identifying ways to display demonstrated interest as well as select opportunities to showcase intellectual curiosity. Before senior-year deadlines, she meticulously reviews applications with a nuanced understanding of college preferences. For families hoping to gain a competitive advantage in college admissions, her personalized recommendations are both insightful and compelling.

Prior to owning Beth Bristow Tutorial Services, Beth first identified her unique ability to inspire students with a motivating and multi-sensory approach when she began tutoring as a freshman in college at the request of several faculty members. A summa cum laude honors graduate, Beth received numerous academic awards as a college student, including membership in two honor societies, Phi Eta Sigma and Alpha Chi, and top honors in her biology major.

Upon graduation, Beth served as an admissions counselor for a private college in North Carolina. Working behind the scenes enabled her to see how certain students were able to better market themselves in the admissions process. Helping students create their own well-developed angle to differentiate themselves from a pool of applicants became a personal goal that complemented her passion for tutoring.

Her rich background in education continued when she joined the ranks of top learning centers in North Carolina and Florida, where she impacted the lives of students at all levels while tutoring them in an impressive array of academic subjects and helped build a study skills curriculum. Beth directed two privately-owned learning centers where she developed SAT and ACT preparation materials, customized academic programs, and served as an educational consultant. She also earned College Board certification and the distinct honor of scoring two perfect scores on the paper-based SAT.

Her time as a tutor, an admissions counselor, and an educational consultant has proven invaluable in her current role. Through the success of Beth and her team of specialists, Beth Bristow Tutorial Services has expanded, moving from the original Paces Ferry location to the second learning center in Vinings Jubilee in 2014.

In addition to serving as the Founder of Beth Bristow Tutorial Services, Beth also uses her educational talents while volunteering as the Co-Chair of the nsoro Scholarship Committee; through this outreach, she helps select scholars who have aged out of foster care to receive instrumental financial support and mentorship throughout their educational journeys.
